De oorsprong van Brouwerij Pühaste gaat terug tot het jaar 2011, toen Eero, onze hoofdbrouwmeester, zijn eerste ambachtelijke bieren brouwde. Zijn testbieren, gebrouwen in het zomerhuisje in het dorp Pühaste in de provincie Valga, kregen hoge cijfers van zijn vrienden. Verder brouwen als een "zigeuner" leverde veel goede feedback op van de bredere ambachtelijke biergemeenschap uit Estland en daarbuiten. Op 10 september 2016 opende Pühaste zijn eigen brouwerij in Tartu.
